"Pronouns she/her/hers I have been a social worker for over 20 years and my career has been built on the foundation of helping and assisting all individuals. Within my daily practice, I hold true to the values of treating all walks of life with acceptance, compassion, equality, and respect. I believe in creating a safe place for individuals and couples so they can communicate openly and freely about what they would like to see for their own lives. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege to work with all age groups, communities, and backgrounds and I enjoy learning from my clients and helping them as they feel empowered to make their own decisions regarding their lives. I have a Master’s degree in Social Work through UW-Milwaukee and I am currently working on my Doctorate in Social Work through Simmons University. My clinical training came from the Family Therapy Training Institute and was focused on the family system models of practice. I strongly encourage others to take time for themselves, learn about ways to slow down in life, and find enjoyment and happiness around them. I want people to feel energized in wanting change for themselves through my work with them. Within my clinical work, I tend to utilize narrative style therapy, trauma-informed therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, while incorporating mindfulness techniques, CBT interventions, and MI principles. I am an ally to the LGBTQ community and advocate for those living in marginalized communities. I am also a certified Advance Care Plan Specialist and help develop end-of-life wishes and Advance Directives for an individual. My experience and specialties include: • Depression • Self-esteem issues • Sexual identity concerns • Elders • Those seeking support through life stages and transitions • Those living with chronic pain and physical ailments • End-of-life patients, and those involved in hospice care and services • Individuals dealing with compassion fatigue • Anxiety-related symptoms • Grief and loss • Trauma-related symptoms"
