Keegan has been deeply passionate about mental health for most of his adult life. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, where he studied Kinesiology and Nutritional Sciences. Keegan briefly attended UW Oshkosh, studying Clinical Mental Health Counseling, but found that his passion resides in educating the public about mental health.
As the Education Coordinator at Mental Health America Lakeshore, Keegan’s goals are to help educate the public about mental health issues, including stigma and prevention. His hopes are that through mindfulness and education, we can create a community that treats mental health with support, empathy, and understanding.
In his free time, Keegan likes to be active in the outdoors but also loves to listen to music, as well as play the guitar. When not with family, he can generally be found in a coffee shop with friends or a good book.
“For mental health, I like to find a quiet place to practice mindfulness. I find that being fully present allows you to meet life with humor and humility, which helps restore a balanced perspective.”
