Become a Messenger of Hope

Every day at MHA Lakeshore we are in awe of the generosity and partnership that drives our programs and services. This Mental Health Awareness Month is no exception.

Every dollar counts when we are working together to reduce stigma, prevent suicide, and provide critical programs for mental health. Recurring donations of any size keep our work strong with consistent support. For example, $10 a month can fund the budget for one of our support groups throughout the entire year.

Join our Messengers of Hope (or continue your support!) with a gift to help us reach our goal to raise $20,000 for suicide prevention and resiliency programs this May!

Stay Connected & Have More GOOD DAYS TOGETHER

Some days we need support. On other days, we want to give support to others. Messengers of Hope like MHA Lakeshore staff, volunteers, board members, and community advocates, keep us connected during all seasons. There are many ways to get involved and stay connected this Mental Health Awareness Month:

Every donation made this month will receive a gift from MHA Lakeshore, if we have a current address. We appreciate your time, support, and financial support more than you can imagine!

What is the difference between MHA Lakeshore and MHA National?

Mental Health America Lakeshore is one of 133 affiliates of Mental Health America National. Each affiliate is a unique 501(c)3, non-profit organization that provides mental health advocacy, education and services to a specific service area. So, what exactly is the difference between Mental Health America National and Mental Health America Lakeshore?

Mental Health America National focuses on broad, national advocacy to benefit all affiliates and the national landscape of mental health access, rights, and resources. They also provide training, toolkits, and shared strategies for their affiliates. MHA National also supports affiliates with operational initiatives and program implementation and provides shared resources.

Affiliates, such as Mental Health America Lakeshore, pay annual dues to access the resources and benefits that MHA National provides. Each MHA affiliate has unique programs tailored in response to their community needs and their organizational resources. We live, work, and serve locally in Sheboygan County and surrounding areas. Did you know there is only one other Wisconsin affiliate at this time? The other Wisconsin affiliate is Mental Health America Wisconsin located in Milwaukee.

You can explore some of the other affiliates and their programs here.

On Behalf of the MHA Lakeshore Team and Board of Directors, Thank you!

Everything we do is thanks to the generosity of our community. We invite you to learn more about our work in the 2025 Impact Report available now. We truly cannot thank you enough!
